The increase in consumption of herbal liquors Nigeria is a cause for alarm. These are consumed with the mis-conception that they without toxic effects. aim this study to investigate genotoxic and histopathological alterations rats exposed liquors. Female were 6 weeks. evaluation done assess extent damage. Pathological examination revealed incidences aggregates chronic inflammatory cell infiltrates heart Jedi treated group while other groups had no abnormalities. histologic sections kidney tissue congested vessels lung showed reduction air filled alveolar spaces infiltration alveoli interstitium by cells indnadicating moderate severe pulmonary inflammation. Histologic reveals congestion interstitial hemorrhages. Genotoxic rat lymphocytes via comet assay shows administered different developed significant (p < 0.05) as % DNA tail, head, olive moment, tail length moment which indicates presence strand breaks marker oxidative This result contain substances produce reactive oxygen species have pathological effect on certain organs well inducing could compromise integrity can lead mutation.
